After completing PADI Open Water, the next step in your scuba diving adventure is the PADI Advanced Open Water course. This course will increase your diving experiences and trains you to dive to a depth of 30 metres.

PADI is the worlds largest and most recognised recreational scuba diving training organisation in the world. The PADI Advanced Open Water course teaches the foundation knowledge and skills needed to dive.

After this course, you will:

  • Increase your diving experience, allowing you to dive in more environments
  • Be able to dive to a maximum of 30 metres
  • Be able to participate in further scuba courses, such as dive specialities, or 1st aid and rescue courses

This course differs from the PADI Open Water course, as the course revolves around completing five open water dives, along with the book work required to understand how to safely complete the dives. Although students are not required to attend as many pool sessions, we recommend that they come along to perfect existing dive skills, learn new skills or just have a chat.

The five adventure dives must include Deep and Underwater Navigation dives, but the other three are flexible.

After completing this course, you can increase your diving experience by completing PADI Specialities or become a PADI Rescue Diver.
